John 16:16-33 The night before Jesus’ crucifixion, the disciples are struggling to find reasons for hope. However, Jesus reminds them that while they’re about to witness the pain of the cross, their sorrow will not last forever. They will see Jesus again.

John 14:1-14 The night before his death, Jesus tells his disciples to not let their hearts be troubled. But how were they supposed to find comfort with everything falling apart all around them. Jesus encourages them, and his followers today, that the hope of their future destiny can help them endure the uncertainty of this life.
John 13:31-38 In John 13, Jesus begins to prepare his disciples for his departure. Before he goes to the cross, he reminds them that one of the most important things they can do is to love one another as he has loved them.
John 13 Description: The night before Jesus’ died, he stooped down and washed his disciples’ feet. Why would he do this? Ultimately, he was trying to teach a point about the significance of his death, and he was setting an example for us to follow.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 Christians believe that Jesus will return, but what difference does the doctrine make to our every day lives? In 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul shows us how this doctrine gives us urgency to do the work that God has given us to do.
Ephesians 4:11-16 As Christians, we can often reduce spiritual growth to doing more or doing better. However, Paul makes the case in Ephesians 4:11-16 that growth isn’t as much about what we are doing as who we are becoming. Paul’s blueprint for maturity urges us to grow up into godliness by centering our lives on Jesus.
