Continue in Prayer

Why is prayer such a vital part of the Christian life, and how do we become better at it? Check out this sermon from Colossians 4 where Paul encourages believers to "continue steadfastly in prayer."

Husbands, Wives, and the Gospel

The gospel transforms every area of our lives. This includes our marriages. What does it mean to be the kind of husband and wife God calls us to be? Check out this sermon from Colossians 3:18-19.

Put on Love

The Apostle Paul paints a compelling vision of the church in Colossians 3. It is to be a new community where a diverse group of people follow Jesus and love one another. How is this possible? It takes the transformation of the individuals who make up the body of Christ.

Set Your Hearts on Things Above

Many Christians feel the pressure to try and become something they feel like they aren't. The Christian life in scripture sets such a high bar. How can we possibly hope to live this kind of life? Rather than pursuing holiness through rules, discipline, and effort, Paul gives us a different picture for spiritual growth. Instead of trying to become something we aren't, what if we realized that obedience to Jesus is actually a process of becoming who we are already? Check out our latest sermon from Colossians for more.

How Do We Change?

Have you ever tried to make a lasting change? Have you tried to overcome a sin you can't seem to get rid of? Have you attempted to pursue holiness and gave up because it was too difficult? Part of the reason real spiritual change is difficult s because we pursue change the wrong way. How can we grow spiritually? Paul begins to give us the answer in Colossians 2-3.

It's easy to say that we believe the gospel. It's much more difficult to actually receive God's grace. What will allow us to believe the gospel with our head and our heart? Check out this sermon from Matthew 19 as Pastor Eric describes his struggle to trust Jesus.

Rejoice In My Sufferings

In Colossians 1:24, Paul says "I rejoice in my sufferings." How is it possible that someone could rejoice in their suffering? What good can God bring out of our trials? In this sermon, Pastor Eric unpacks why Christians should expect to suffer in this life, and how God uses it for our good and the good of others.
