The Seduction of False Teaching

One of the greatest dangers of false teaching is that it's usually attractive to us for some reason. Maybe it tells us that ultimately we can be in control of our own lives. Maybe it twists the Bible's words to give us license to do whatever we want to do. in 2 Peter, the Apostle is writing to a church struggling with giving in to false teachers. They promised the church that they could live however they wanted because Jesus wouldn't judge them. However, Peter warns the church that Jesus is coming as judge, and the only way to be rescued from the wrath to come is to believe the gospel.
