Sermon List

Let Us go to Him

Hebrews 13 Is the price of following Jesus worth it? In Hebrews 13, the author of this book encourages his readers to remain faithful to Christ even though it might make their lives more difficult in the short term. Why? Because in the long run, nothing can provide for them what only Christ can provide.

Finish Your Race

Hebrews 12 One of the Bible’s favorite ways to describe the Christian life is that it’s a long journey. However, it’s also a journey filled with obstacles. How can we make sure we finish our race faithful to Christ? Check out our sermon for more.

Walking by Faith

Hebrews 11: 8-10, 32-37 By faith we follow Jesus into the many unknowns of this life. What can we expect as we follow our Savior with our eyes fixed upon him every step of the way? Hebrews 11 shares the testimony of those who have gone before us as an encouragement for us to follow in their footsteps of faith.

The Resurrection of Hope - Easter 2024

Luke 24:13-35 Have you ever been disappointed with Jesus? Many of us face seasons of life where we’re unsure what Jesus is doing or why he won’t answer our prayers. In Luke 24:13-35, we discover two men who had hoped Jesus would “redeem Israel,” but it appeared that Jesus had failed. However, these two men were about to discover that while Jesus didn’t accomplish what they hoped he would, he actually did for them more than they could have ever dreamed.

Judgement and Reward

Hebrews 10:26-39 Throughout the book of Hebrews, one primary message is communicated repeatedly. The author is trying to get these believers to persevere in their faith. In order to persuade them, the author encourages them with the thought of their future reward, and he warns them of the consequences of falling away from Jesus.

Hebrews: Faithful to the End

Hebrews 10:19-24 Staying faithful to Jesus to the end of our lives can be difficult. That is why God has not left us without help. In Hebrews 10:19-24, we discover that if we will draw near to God, hold fast our confession, and not neglect meeting together, we will put ourselves in the best possible position to remain faithful to Christ to the end of our lives.

He Has Appeared

Hebrews 9:23-28 It can be easy when reading Hebrews to feel like the author is just repeating himself over and over. Why does he focus so much on Jesus’s sacrifice and Old Testament language when this church desperately needs encouragement from this author? It’s because the author of Hebrews knew something it’s easy for us to forget, nothing is more important for our day to day existence than Christ’s death on the cross for our sin.

A Better Sacrifice

Hebrews 9:1-14 The foundational question at the core of the Scriptures is, “How can a holy God and sinful human beings live in a relationship with one another?” The fact that God is holy and must punish sin makes this a difficult question to answer. However, in Hebrews 9, we run across the glorious truth that what is needed is a sacrifice that can cleanse us from our sins.

A New Covenant

What did Jesus come to accomplish? This is one of the most important questions we will ever answer. Hebrews 8 tells us that he came to earth to establish a new and better covenant between God and men. In this new covenant, God helps us become the people he’s called us to be, we gain unlimited access to the presence of God, and our sins are finally and fully forgiven…forever. Check out our sermon from Hebrews 8 for more.

Jesus: Our Greater High Priest

As we continue our series in Hebrews we look at the author's concluding arguments, proving both biblically and theologically, how Jesus is the perfect and permanent High Priest. Jesus' role as high priest of Heaven gives every believer direct access to God. However, this is an privilege few utilize to the fullest. How can we draw near to God in a world of distraction? What does it mean that Jesus is our greater High Priest? Hebrews 7 walks us through the answer to this important questions.
