One of the greatest dangers of false teaching is that it's usually attractive to us for some reason. Maybe it tells us that ultimately we can be in control of our own lives. Maybe it twists the Bible's words to give us license to do whatever we want to do. in 2 Peter, the Apostle is writing to a church struggling with giving in to false teachers. They promised the church that they could live however they wanted because Jesus wouldn't judge them. However, Peter warns the church that Jesus is coming as judge, and the only way to be rescued from the wrath to come is to believe the gospel.

Using the tools that God has given us, how can we experience lasting transformation?
It's natural to want to present ourselves as strong, competent, and like we have it all together. However, is it possible that this desire is keeping us from all that God has for us? Check out this sermon from 2 Corinthians 12 as we discover the role that weakness plays in the Christian life.

Everyone seems to be trying to find rest today. Our busy schedules and the stress that comes with them has us longing for a break. We look to vacations, hobbies, and days off to bring relief, but ultimately they don't solve our problem. How can we find the rest God intended us to find, and what would change about our lives if we could find it?
