City Groups are smaller expressions of God’s church that meet in homes throughout our city. They are a diverse collection of individuals committed to the gospel and striving to spur one another on towards love and good deeds for God’s glory between Sundays. Through these relationships we receive and respond to grace, imaging our Creator and lifting up the name of Christ.

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he gave his people a mission. God’s desire is that all people would have an opportunity to respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. City of God Church exists, therefore, to join God in this mission by loving Jesus, loving people and advancing the gospel. With His Spirit empowering us, we want to accomplish these things here in Lafayette. And as we send out people from our church, we want to accomplish this mission on a global level, taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.
